Families usually come to therapy when they have tried everything else. “Family” to me, means any group of people who call themselves a family. I work with as many people who choose to come, even if the person you might be most worried about isn't there.
You might come because of:
- Difficulties in family relationships
- Problems with changes in family life
- Parenting issues
- Dealing with separation and divorce
- Worries about children and their behaviour
- Mental health concerns
- Struggling with bereavement
- Concerns about elderly parents
- Unresolved issues with family members
- Family feuds
- Stepfamily issues
